Play For Purpose Development
2016 - 2019
Tabcorp (formerly Tatts Group) established a charitable lotteries division based around the 50-50 Foundation. They saw an opportunity to help charities get a bigger slice of the prize pool of prize-based lotteries which would help them deliver better charitable outcomes, and needed a platform to run the lottery on.
Using lean startup techniques, 4impact facilitated envisioning workshops, performed technical feasibility studies, prototyped and product managed the build of the Billzy mobile app.
For the implementation phase, 4impact’s agile development processes were applied in managing the blended team of local and off-shore developers and testers taking the product to alpha release. 4impact leveraged AWS managed services partnerships for the production build and operational support.
The Play For Purpose site has been approved by regulators across Australia and is fully operational with on-going ticket sales and prize draws. 4impact continued to provide Application Managed Services and continuous improvements through the end of the second draw in February 2019.
